Current 1995-1998 issues of the KIT Newsletter. Some earlier ones are formatted
as text-only (without photos or graphics). In the case of KIT, "the message
is the message, rather than the medium."
NOTE: Prof. Rubin's book, The Other Side of Joy: Religious Melancholy
Among The Bruderhof (Oxford University Press, $45) is now in print.
Also, a newsgroup now exists for ongoing discussions between ex-members,

We also have posted here the complete text of the
multi-million-dollar defamation lawsuit that the Bruderhof and
Christian Domer filed July, 1997, against The Peregrine Foundation, Blair
Purcell, Julius Rubin and Ramon Sender. We have done this as a courtesy
at the request of Bruderhof members Christian Domer and Joseph Keiderling.
NOTE: The Bruderhof withdrew both lawsuits on December 20, 1997.
These files are compiled from each of the yearly "Best of KIT" text collections,
which in turn are excerpts from the collected newsletters (the Annual)
for that year.
The following "Best of KIT" text collections are excerpted from each year's
Annual collections. They repeat items included in "Best of the Best of
KIT," although some in greater detail, as well as other items. For more
information about ordering hard copy of the Annuals themselves, see below.
The Annuals, complete KIT Newsletter collections from previous years, (1990,
1991, 1992, 1993,1994, 1995) are available only in hardcopy, spiral-bound
annual editions for $25 each postpaid domestic, $35 1st Class foreign.
